Meet Scarlett

Scarlett Hunter

Dance Teacher

Scarlett Hunter has been a wheelchair user since the age of 4 and a dancer since the age of 7. She fell in love with dancing at her mother’s dance studio in southeast Missouri, where she was trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop and musical theatre. At age 13, she began competing in dance competitions and received many regional and national titles throughout her time as a competitor.

She continued her dance career in college at Arkansas State University by pursuing a minor in theater and participating in community theater. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and an Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology.

She moved to Nashville after graduating in July of 2023 and now works with students with disabilities as a school psychologist in the greater Nashville area. Creating space for other wheelchair users in the dance world has always been a dream of hers and she could not be more excited to be able to have this dream come true by teaching at MOVE Inclusive Dance!
