A Contemporary Twist on Classic Ballet

Here's what you can expect:

  • Artistry and Precision: Delve into the principles and foundations of classic ballet, infused with contemporary movement elements. Our class encourages artistic expression while maintaining the precision of traditional ballet steps.

  • Diverse Movement Vocabulary: From pliés to passés, tendus to chainé turns, and jetés, our dancers explore a diverse range of movements. Each class is an opportunity to master these foundational steps while embracing the contemporary twist.

  • Dynamic Class Structure: Our classes are 40 minutes long, carefully curated to engage and inspire. The typical lesson plan includes a warm-up, technique exercises at the barre or center, across-the-floor movement, learning choreography, a freestyle "dance party" where dancers get to choose the music, and finally, a cool down..

At MOVE Inclusive Dance, we take pride in our inclusive teaching approach. Our teachers are trained to use the Dance Education Standards as a guide, as provided by the National Dance Education Organization. However, our unique population at MOVE may have diverse abilities, needs, circumstances, diagnoses, and developmental trajectories.
