Deanna Platt

Dance Teacher

Deanna Platt graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2015. With a life-long passion for underserved communities, she earned a degree in Special Education. While attending USM, she worked at ACE Cheer Company as a cheer and tumble instructor and was the director of the Cheer Abilities program, a program designed for athletes with various levels of disabilities. After graduation, she began teaching special education in Hattiesburg, MS at an elementary school where she was able to continue pursuing her passion for serving while incorporating movement into the classroom environment to enhance her student’s learning and meet their ever-evolving needs. After learning about Lauren’s plan to begin MOVE, she decided to make the journey to Nashville to be a part of the MOVE Inclusive Dance family. She currently teaches special education at Johnson Elementary School in Franklin, TN.
